Courtney Morgan, LCSW, is a dedicated therapist with over 16 years of experience working with children and families. Drawing on her extensive background in trauma-informed care and somatic modalities, Courtney supports clients experiencing the impacts of trauma in their bodies and nervous systems. Her therapeutic approach draws on training in SMART (Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Interpersonal Neurobiology, and is characterized by warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to facilitating healing through embodied relational experiences.
Courtney loves working with clients across all ages, recognizing the brain and nervous system's capacity for change and resilience at any stage of life. She provides a safe and compassionate space for clients to heal from past traumas and develop resilience to navigate current challenges.
In addition to her clinical practice, Courtney is actively engaged in ongoing professional development and education. She holds a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, a Master's in Education from Bank Street College of Education, and a BA from Georgetown University. Courtney began her career teaching in New York City public schools, and continues to pursue her passion for teaching by providing trauma-informed care trainings to Boise-based agencies and nonprofits as well as clinical supervision to therapists pursuing clinical licensure.
Beyond her professional commitments, Courtney is the mother of two young children and loves exploring the great outdoors around Boise with her family.
